Turn off genius itunes

Each new Genius Shuffle playlist will be a different genre or style of music. In order to use Genius Shuffle, you need to have Genius activated. Go to the Store menu and choose Turn On Genius. (If you have iTunes Match on, Genius is on automatically, so you won’t have to do anything.)

Turning off Genius is usually pretty easy, but there are two Apple services you might be using that could prevent you from doing it. You won't be able to easily turn off iTunes Genius if you're an Apple Music subscriber or if you use iTunes Match, Apple's service that puts a copy of your music library in your iCloud account and lets you keep music in sync across multiple devices.
